Tomczak featured in New York art exhibit

Kailua-Kona resident Mark Tomczak is a featured artist in New York City’s Agora Gallery’s exhibition, “Unbound Perspectives,” through Dec. 18.

“In my art,” said Tomczak, “I always try to leave room for the viewer’s imagination to run free,” and his paintings embody that freedom. The artist is unrestricted with his palette, textures and blend methods, and the results are paintings that carry an element of surprise, whether in the form of an unexpected color or a texture that gives a canvas an extra degree of motion and interest.Tomczak uses unconventional tools to produce his paintings, a strategy that lends his works a freshness of approach that carries over into their inviting ambiance. His densely textured works include intricate depictions of nature and paintings with “a more abstract flow” in which pure colors and rhythms create a sense of drama and movement.

Agora Gallery is a fine art gallery located in the heart of New York City’s Chelsea art galleries district. For more information, visit agora-gallery.com/artistpage/Mark_Tomczak.aspx.
